Antonio isn't on form but people seem to be forgetting his 2nd half performance against Chelsea when he gave Rudiger a torrid time and was involved in the build up to 2 of our goals. Don't write him off just yet nor the team as a whole.

Every striker faces a lean spell from time to time, especially one still learning the craft at 31 years old.
We've got shit owners who couldn't pick a striker who would dominate the Prem and even if they did wouldn't pay for him anyway.
That's not Micky's fault, it's the owners.

I won't dig out Antonio as a person specifically as he is a player who has grafted to get to the level he has, was instrumental in our escaping relegation and our drive to European football. His form at the beginning of the season seemed to be amazing. Something has gone wrong though.
All of a sudden he has become less mobile, looks totally exhausted all game and his touch, hold up play and speed is appalling. I'm not sure if he has changed something in his training or diet, had COVID or what it is but athletically he looks shot. Not scored and doesn't look the slightest bit dangerous in recent games.
So much for causing defences problems, he often is walking around rather than trying to make a run or find space.
Our setup relies on having the good Antonio up front. When he isn't at it then we struggle to make an impression on sides. Too many games where we are dominated and expect to take one of a handful of chances to nick some points.
We need good investment in Jan. We perhaps need to see whether any of these U23 players can have any influence at this level. Give the likes of Kral, Vlasic and Lanzini more regular time too. Perhaps even Yarmalenko if Antonio and others are so off form.

Fuming? I'm more angry just realising that my yogurt is past its sell by date.
Once again it was shit. Predictable, can't pass, can't shoot, can't hold the ball up, can't really do anything. and the same old faces every fucking game with NOTHING on the bench.. I'm finding myself getting very bored with this season now, probably just as well that it's all going to stop again. Fuck off.

I'm still fucking fuming.
Apart from yet another decision going against us (they just make the rules up depending on the team), we were absolutely dreadful and this was very avoidable had someone at the club realised in the summer or the window before, that you can't play the same team and tactics week in week out (nevermind that we are in 4 competitions) and expect no injuries, suspensions or loss of form.

There's always going to be injustices in football, like any other sport.
But, surely in other sports, they're more evenly spread around...
...it seems like 50% of the time it's us that's on the end of them.

It is always a foregone conclusion that we are going to get shit decisions when Taylor or Dean are the referees. They have a history of it. Added to that they put the other idiot Bankes in the booth.

It's great that yet again it's been picked up in the media that we were stiffed (third time in six months?) and the system/procedure is bollocks as it still allows for clear injustice to happen, but as well and good as all that is, when will anything actually be done to stop it happening?

I think we are looking very much like the Everton of Moyes past. Sometimes very good and hovering aroud the top 6. The odd European campaign. But will win fuck all.
